The Latest News and Information about the F-35
El Mirage is in the process of doing our due dilligence and collecting all the latest information from across the world on the F-35 and its future. We have questions about impacts, both positive and negative, and remain neutral until we have more information specific on how this will impact our city. It’s important to know that we are not alone in this assessment. Communities from Virginia Beach and Tucson to the Netherlands are conducting similar reviews of the full impact of the F-35 – good and bad.
We have requested the Department of Defense test-fly two or more F-35s at Luke Air Force Base, so the noise can be measured in their impact studies other cities have similar requests and have had noise added to their studies.

El Mirage leadership has no desire to close Luke Air Force Base. We have immense respect for its mission and the men and women who serve and work there. We are proud that many of them call El Mirage home.
